Tagxedo and webquest

May 16. I was amazed of what we have accomplished in such a short time. Having missed the first course I felt overwhelmed with all the information required of me. Now I can verse in wimba and black board that I have known it all of my life. It makes it easier to be with such a great group of people. There is a reason why we call it the Southern family. I am ready for Monday with my presentation on Webquest. I hope the one I have created is published. It takes 48 hours. My students will be working using the webquest next week.
While I am waiting for the webquest to be published her is the link

Now I have to focus on creating my four different levels of finals. Another success story this week after spending four day until 9:00pm at Southern we had 45 people show up for the Germany/American trip/exchange program show up. Wish me look people.

May 9th class

The presentation of monday was very interesting. I always new that internet games can be fun never really explored the oportunity using them as an educational tool. I have the summer to see how I can create something for my classes.
In the meantime I am working with Karl and Shana on our project. The research on the military and insrucitonal technolog is fascinating.
In the meantime I am worried if can have all the projects in that I need for the class. My students seem always exited with what I come up with as long as they can be on line. Gloglster, voicethread, windows movies and webquest is on my agenda for this week. Teaching on top of that four different levels of German and preparing for our German visitors at the beginning of September. I attached a link to our sister school
Gernsheim-Gymnasium.http://www.gymnasium-gernsheim.de/cms/. You can see some of the students that will be hosting as well hosted by our German sister school.
Exiting time. It is a shame that in the meantime I have to eat and sleep some time.

The news about Osama bin Laden’s death came with surprise and relief. The day of our class I had the pleasure working with Karl and Shana on our MIT history project. They had the incredible idea that our project should be tight in of how the military accomplished the assassination of Osama with the help of technology. The research we conducted on how the US military has used Instructional Technology through the years to advance the capability of our troops was very interesting and intriguing.
The search for meaningful project for my students with the use of technology is shaping up. A lot of work but I hope at the end it would be another great assess to capture the interest of my students.
